Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What size are your wedding save the date magnets? What envelope size do they fit in?
A: Our save the date magnets are 5.47" x 4.21". Vistaprint’s A2 envelopes (custom or colored) are the matching size for these magnets.
Q: How heavy is one magnet? Can I mail them?
A: Our 17.5mm thick magnets are 0.72 oz (per unit), which is light enough to be mailed with a standard postage stamp. There will be no additional mailing cost for the size or weight. Although they stick securely to metal surfaces, due to the lightweight nature of these magnets, they’re not meant for holding papers and other materials.
Q: Are save the date magnets water-resistant?
A: Moisture will not impact the print quality on our magnets as they are water-resistant. However, try to avoid submerging them in water.
Q: Do the save the date magnets have a glossy finish?
A: Our save the date magnets have a glossy-like finish, making them great for photos and bright designs.
Q: When should I send my save the date magnets to my guests?
A: Generally, it’s recommended to send your save the date magnets 6 to 8 months in advance. For a destination wedding, try to send you save the date magnets at least nine months ahead (or more).
Q: What information should I include on a save the date magnet?
A: Your save the date magnets should include both of your names, the date of your wedding and the location (town or city). Everything else – engagement photos, website URLs and a fun design – is icing on the cake.
